The greatest decrease this week occurred in the Lower Atlantic region, which experienced a $0.016-per-gallon dip from last week’s prices but a $0.039-per-gallon year-over-year jump.
Three regions saw an increase in diesel fuel prices, with the Rocky Mountain region experiencing the greatest climb at $0.018 per gallon a week more than last week. The region’s diesel costs are $0.118 per gallon higher than a year ago.
Overall, national prices also dropped this week. Diesel fuel costs are $0.006 per gallon lower than a week ago. However, year-over-year diesel costs are up $0.059 per gallon.
