DEF questions answered

For those interested in learning more about diesel exhaust fluid, a primary component of selective catalytic reduction (or SCR) systems, take a moment to sign up for one of Cummins Filtration’s webinars. Webinar topics include 2010 emissions regulations, how DEF works in SCR systems, recommended practices for use and handling, availability and packaging options.

Cummins is among a group of suppliers that plans to offer DEF for 2010 engines equipped with SCR systems. While there has been some speculation on the availability of urea (which is the essential ingredient in DEF), manufacturers who have sided with SCR technology and key distributors such as Cummins say this will be a non-issue.
