Deere second-quarter construction sales increase 26 percent

Deere & Company‘s global net sales and revenues rose 12 percent during its second quarter, according to results released today. The company says it was the eighth consecutive quarter of record earnings.

Deere said it is “successfully managing major new product launches featuring advanced engine emission technology while significantly expanding its global market.”

Construction and forestry division sales increased 26 percent for the quarter. Division sales are forecast to increase by about 20 percent for 2012, reflecting strengths in the rental industry and geographic expansion.
