Cummins to cut 800 jobs worldwide by March

Cummins will cut at least 800 jobs worldwide by the end of February and freeze salaries for the year in an attempt to manage worsening economic conditions, according to the company. Cummins will also reduce officers’ salaries by 10 percent this year. The company will offer second voluntary retirement packages to some employees within the United States, but the bulk of its reductions will be in the form of involuntary terminations. This is the second round of reductions for Cummins.
