Construction workers write patriotic messages of hope on beams of One World Trade Center

The Associated Press reported this morning on some of the very inspiring moments for the crews working on One World Trade Center.
The crews have been invited to print messages and other graffiti on the skyscraper’s frame as it has gone up in memory of the 2,700 people killed in the terrorist attacks on 9/11.
Some are as simple as “Freedom Forever. WTC 9/11” while others are a bit more philosophical such as “Change is from within.” Others, like “God Bless the workers & inhabitants of this bldg.” are hopeful.
One of the more defiant messages was signed by President Barack Obama last year. It reads, “We remember. We rebuild. We come back stronger!”
“This is not just any construction site, this is a special place for these guys,” ironworker Kevin Murphy told the AP. “Everyone here wants to be here, they want to put this building up. They’re part of the redemption.”
The building, which at 1,776 feet tall will be the tallest in the Western Hemisphere, is nearing completion.
Because these messages, scrawled on steel beams, will be hidden from view once the building is finished, workers have been taking photos of them so they can be shared.
