Construction workers protest fees, lengthy permit process

A group of 90 construction workers organized by the San Diego County chapter of the Building Industry Association went before the county’s Board of Supervisors yesterday and asked them to cut building fees and reduce the time it takes to get permits. The goal of the group was to prevent further job losses in a county that’s seen 25,000 construction workers lose their jobs in the past two years.
