Another construction jobsite robbery in Houston erupted in gunfire Tuesday, this time ending with the death of a worker.

According to a report from KHOU TV, 19-year-old Frank Medrano was working alone inside an unfinished house when a man walked onto the jobsite and tried to rob him.

Soon after, Medrano’s cousin, who was working on another house nearby, heard the gunshot and then saw the suspect flee the scene in a black clothing and a hoodie.

Family told the station that Medrano was a hard worker, who without fail awoke at 5 a.m. each morning to go to work for his stepfather’s construction company.

This is the second armed robbery to occur on a Houston jobsite this year. In January, two men, also dressed in black, walked onto a jobsite and robbed two workers, shooting one of them. Fortunately, that worker survived the incident.
