Construction business owner runs for mayor

Although he’s a late arrival, commercial construction contractor Glen Spencer has entered the race for mayor of Gilbert, Arizona, population 220,000. Spencer threw his hat into the ring as a write-in candidate after another candidate dropped out leaving the race uncontested.

“When he did that, I saw an opening. That’s who I am and how I am. I am aggressive, I go for things and I work hard, Spencer told the Arizona Republic.
