Company focused on construction staffing and skills training opens in Alabama

A new company focused on training up skilled construction workers opened its doors recently in Alabama.

Wright Way held its ribbon cutting ceremony August 21 in Birmingham. The new company’s emphasis is welding training but the center will work to train up and place students in a number of positions in the construction, maintenance and manufacturing industries.

A full listing of available job opportunities can be viewed at the Wright Way website.

Graduates from the training center leave with certification from the National Center for Construction Education and Research.

“We are looking forward to taking part in a community event that will ultimately aide in training future leaders in the construction industry,” said Nathaniel Carter, Senior Vice-President of Wright Way, Inc. “It’s important that the business community continue to work together with elected officials to provide these opportunities for residents.”

With the rebound of construction and many open positions, Alabama’s construction industry has doubled down on efforts to train up needed workers. A bill passed by the state legislature earlier this year established a building permit fee to fund construction training and education across the state.
