Case New Holland (CNH) and JCB both contributed to disaster relief efforts in Haiti after a devastating earthquake and violent aftershocks left the country in rubble and thousands dead or homeless.

CNH’s Haitian dealer, Soged S.A., volunteered excavators, wheel loaders and other equipment for assistance in disaster relief. Empresas Dominicanas C.A., the company’s dealer in the Dominican Republic, delivered 10 machines to the Caribbean island within the first 24 hours of the quake. CNH offered crawler excavators, a backhoe and motor grader for Haiti relief efforts through the United Nations.

JCB donated equipment worth $150,000 to help in disaster relief. The company gave two 3CX backhoe loaders to the U.S. government and its aid agencies for use in relief efforts.
