Caterpillar honored customers who are using ACERT technology, which reduces emissions at the point of combustion, and marked the production of 10,000 engines featuring the system in an Oct. 5 ceremony. “For both Caterpillar and our customers, engines with ACERT have delivered superior emissions solutions while also providing the performance and durability that is synonymous with the Caterpillar name around the world,” said Doug Oberhelman, Caterpillar group president with responsibility for the company’s engine division. The event also marked the production milestone of 2,500 industrial engines featuring the clean diesel technology.
