Cat completes 5,000th rebuild in June

Caterpillar completed its 5,000th rebuild in June under its Cat Certified Rebuild (CCR) program. Created in 1985, the CCR program disassembles Cat machines to the bare frame and rebuilds it to like-new specifications. In 2009, Cat rebuilt 500 machines, costing each owner 40 to 50 percent less than buying a brand new comparable machine.

The CCR process replaces more than 7,000 parts and integrates technical enhancements such as emissions control into the machine. New paint and new serial numbers complete the CCR process.

For more information on CCR, visit a local Caterpillar dealer or read about the program online.
