Case names Diamond Dealer award winners

Case Construction Equipment has recognized 13 dealers for excellence in sales and support as the 2014 Diamond Dealer recipients. The award, part of the company’s North American Construction Equipment Partnership Program, recognizes dealerships for leadership and dedication in growing Case’s brand, as well as excellence in performance, marketing and communications, product support, parts support and training. This year’s winners are:

Liebherr continues distribution network restructuring

Since the appointment of Peter Mayr as president in 2013, Liebherr Construction Equipment has streamlined and reorganized sales and product support to improve the company’s distribution network.

The move includes an agreement ceasing Republic Crane and Equipment’s role as the national dealer for Liebherr’s material handling equipment. Liebherr has now consolidated the company’s earthmoving and material handling equipment product lines.

The restructuring will allow Liebherr to extend its geographic footprint beyond its current territory, predominately the eastern United States. “We want to efficiently move our products and services, and properly compete in new markets, Mayr says.

JCB opens new Chicago-area parts distribution center

JCB opened its fourth parts distribution center in Aurora, Illinois, in September, joining warehouses in Savannah, Georgia, Fontana, California and Ontario, Canada. The Chicago-based facility will serve as the main parts distribution center for JCB in North America, and more than doubles the previous warehouse capacity in North America.

The centrally based location is designed to reduce transit times to dealers, says Chris Giorgianni, vice president, parts and services, JCB North America. “It’s possible for us to stock more parts inventory in North America than every before, and our North American customers will be able to more quickly get the parts they need to stay up and running,” he says.

Bobcat introduces new dealers in Mississippi and Minnesota

Bobcat logoBobcat Company has added Williams Equipment & Supply as an authorized sales, rental and service provider of Bobcat Equipment. The dealership is located in Byhalia, Mississippi.

Williams Equipment & Supply was founded in 1961 by James Williams. The company currently has dealerships in four states including Tennessee, Arkansas and Louisiana.

The Williams location will distribute Bobcat equipment throughout the southeastern Memphis and northwestern Mississippi.

Bobcat also added Farm-Rite Equipment of St. Cloud, Minnesota as an authorized sales, parts, service and rental provider of the company’s equipment.

Farm-Rite was established in 1995 by Tim and Tom Cox in Dassel, Minnesota. They will serve a diverse customer base that includes customers in the agriculture, construction, government. landscape and homeowner markets.

The dealership will distribute Bobcat equipment throughout central Minnesota.

Terex adds AgCon Equipment as new distributor

AgCon Equipment is now an authorized distributor of the Terex compact construction equipment line, including compact track loaders, skid steer loaders, compact excavators, compact wheel loaders and backhoe loaders, in the province of Manitoba. AgCon will offer full sales, rental, service, parts and financing to customers in the construction, agricultural and landscape industries.

AgCon supports the Terex compact equipment line out of its service center headquarters in Winnipeg. The company also offers mobile mechanic services to maximize customers’ uptime during the workday.

AgCon took the Terex line because it fills a niche market for smaller equipment; this allows the company to better serve the customers in their area.

LiuGong adds Douglas Lake Equipment to dealer network

LiuGong North America has added Douglas Lake Equipment to its dealer network. Douglas Lake, up to this point, has been a dealer for a single line of products. LiuGong’s full line product offering will give Douglas Lake a more products to serve a broader market.

DLE is stationed in Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. It has been in business for 15 years with over 105 employees. DLE focuses on the owner operators who enjoy a more personalized approach to business.

Douglas Lake Equipment will carry LiuGong equipment at three branches: Surrey, Quesnel and Kaloomps.

Newest Terramac dealer, Groff Tractor, takes delivery of 100th RT9

Terramac has delivered its 100th RT9 rubber track crawler carrier unit to Groff Tractor and Equipment, the company’s newest dealer. Headquartered in Mechanicsburg, Pennsylvania, Groff Tractor provides equipment sales, rentals and parts and service support throughout Pennsylvania and Eastern Ohio.

The RT9, an 18,000-pound-capacity crawler carrier designed for a range of construction applications, has been in production for 18 months.

Bronto Skylift names JDC Specialty Equipment Division new dealer

Jack Doheny Companies, a dealer organization that sells, rents and services vacuum trucks and infrastructure inspection equipment via 17 locations in the United States and Canada, has formed a Specialty Equipment Division to serve the truck-mounted aerial lift market.

The new division will serve as an authorized Bronto Skylift dealer, and formalized the agreement with the purchase of two model S-197 HDT aerials for delivery this year.

Robert Doyle joins Curry Supply as director of Supply Chain management

Curry Supply Management has named Robert Doyle as its new director of Supply Chain management. Doyle will be responsible for streamlining the “procure to pay” process for all raw materials, services, components and ancillary items purchased for the company.

Doyle will also establish collective purchasing arrangements with suppliers to acquire top quality products as well as ensure favorable service, delivery and costs.

Doyle has more than 20 years of purchasing experience and has been working in manufacturing environments his entire career. His experience includes scheduling, planning, procurement, systems implementation and lean manufacturing.

Vanguard Truck Centers open new Mack dealerships in Texas

Vanguard Truck Centers announced on August 12 the opening of its newest Mack dealerships in Victoria, Texas and El Campo, Texas. The Victoria and El Campo dealerships will now carry the Vanguard Truck Center name.

In addition to ten Vanguard dealerships, its sister company, Norwood Equipment, has locations in Phoenix and Tuscon, Arizona and Houston and Austin, Texas. Norwood Equipment serves all truck chassis nameplates and also specializes in oil field related rigging and fabrication.
