Case launches nine skid steers at Rental Show

Updated Nov 9, 2013

Case Construction Equipment unveiled their Alpha Series skid steers at the Rental Show, with nine models ranging from 46 to 90 horsepower. The skid steers offer between 1,300 and 3,000 pounds rated operating capacity, and a bucket breakout force of up to 8,585 pounds.

The Alpha Series includes both radial and vertical lift models, designated respectively with an “R” or “V” in the model name. Six radial lift models – SR130, SR150, SR175, SR200, SR220 and SR250 – are available for digging, prying and pushing operations. Three vertical lift models – the SV185, SV250 and SV300 – tackle lift-and-carry applications. All models feature a Power Stance chassis, designed with a longer wheelbase to improve stability. A 30/70-front/rear weight distribution ensure the center of gravity remains stable when the loader arms are raised. Electro-hydraulic switchable controls are also included on Alpha Series models.

Case also upgraded the cabs for the Alpha Series, including a 25-percent increase in size. The sealed cabs also feature a climate management system, 360-degree visibility and improved operator controls. A larger fuel tank ensures an 8- to 10-hour run time, and easy access to filters and fluids simplify maintenance.
