Case has introduced updates to its 621F and 721F wheel loaders headlined by an upgrade to a Tier 4 Final engine.

Available in both tool carrier (XT) and extended reach (XR) models, the machines are powered by a Tier 4 Final, 6.7-liter engine delivering 162 horsepower on the 621F and 179 hp on the 721F.

The Case engine uses SCR technology, which does not treat emissions by re-circulating exhaust gas, instead only requiring topping off the diesel exhaust fluid (DEF) tank during refueling. Because of this, Case says the engine is maintenance-free and does not require regen time or a diesel particulate filter.

The loaders’ heavy-duty axles with auto-locking front and open rear differentials boost traction and reduce tire wear on hard surfaces. Speaking of hard surfaces, Case is offering both machines in an optional Efficiency Package that increases road speed with a five-speed transmission with lock-up torque converter. The five-speed tranny features Case’s Powerinch feature which eliminates rollback on slopes.

The machines feature four programmable power modes, climate-controlled cabs with high visibility thanks to floor-to-ceiling windows. Joystick steering, a rearview camera and a heated air-ride seat are available options.

Service points are grouped and easily accessible from the ground with eye-level gauges. The machines are covered under Case’s ProCare three-year/3,000-hour full machine factory warranty and planned maintenance schedule. ProCare also includes a three-year subscription to Case’s SiteWatch telematics service.
