BTS provides quarterly update to National Transportation Statistics reference guide

highway-traffic-generic-2The U.S. Department of Transportation’s Bureau of Transportation Statistics has released the second quarterly update of 2016 for the web-only National Transportation Statics report.

The update provides new information on more than 40 of the 260 tables of transportation data the report supplies, including the transportation system, safety, the economy and energy and the environment.

A sampling of tables updated for the transportation section (Chapter 1) include:

  • Table 1-1 – System Mileage Within the United States
  • 1-7 – Number of Stations served by Amtrak and Rail Transit, Fiscal Year
  • 1-10 – U.S. Oil and Gas Pipeline Mileage
  • 1-11 – Number of U.S. Aircraft, Vehicles, Vessels, and Other Conveyances
  • 1-12 – U.S. Sales or Deliveries of New Aircraft, Vehicles, Vessels, and Other Conveyances
