Bobcat has released two new undercarriage systems for its compact track loaders that the company says offer improvements to ride quality, track carriage cleanout, fuel capacity as well as better ground and rear clearance.

The new solid-mount and optional Roller Suspension system undercarriages are available for Bobcat T550, T590, T630, T650, T740, T750 and T770 CTLs.

Bobcat T590 compact track loaderBobcat says the solid-mount system now features wider rollers and dual-flange front idlers, which now ride on the rubber track’s roller way, reducing vibration and wear. Single-flange idlers are still found on the rear of the machine to help minimize de-tracking.

The Roller Suspension also incorporates the dual-flange front idlers, wider rollers, along with mono-leaf springs, for smoother action. The front idlers have been relocated to enhance machine operation.

The new sloped design of these systems is easier to clean out and is further enhanced by a horizontally mounted tension cylinder which opens more room between the carriage and track. Plus, a raised cutout between the rollers allow for easier cleaning.

Further improvements include an increase in fuel capacity up to 45 percent (depending on the model), a 29 percent boost in ground clearance at the center of the undercarriage and increased clearance at the rear of the machine. Bobcat adds that narrow and wide tracks for CTLs are interchangeable at a Bobcat dealership.
