Well, I’ve got your solution: I’m working on a machine that will teleport people by turning them into water vapor and then blowing them through the air to their desired location.
Sound crazy and impossible? That’s because it is. And that’s how I feel about Elon Musk’s “hyperloop” rapid transit system. It sounds like a really good idea, but it doesn’t really add up – from the proposed 800-mph travel speeds to claims that it could never crash.
Politics aside, it’s a good idea. No, it won’t work the way he’s saying, but wouldn’t it be cool if it did? That’s the same way I feel about being able to zap myself to new places. It may seem impossible, but I’ll keep holding out hope that someone invents it one day. And who knows, maybe someone 100 years ago said it would be neat to have a phone you could control with the touch of your finger.
As long as people are sharing crazy ideas, I’ll stay hopeful someone, one day, will make them a reality.
