Bauma 2013 equipment show sees record attendance of 530,000

BAUMA, the world's biggest construction and mining equipment show opened today in Munich, Germany. More than 450,000 visitors are expected to attend and visit with some 3,400 exhibitors from 57 countries.

Bauma cemented its place as the world’s largest construction equipment trade show in 2013 with attendance figures topping 530,000.

This year’s Bauma construction equipment trade show was the most successful one ever with attendance, exhibitor numbers and exhibition space all breaking previous show records.

In total, 530,000 people attended the world’s largest construction equipment trade show in 2013. Another impressive stat was the show’s foreign audience. Hosted in Munich, the show was visited by 200,000 people from outside Germany.

The show attracted 3,240 exhibitors. Of those, 1,346 were from Germany and 2,074 were from the rest of the world.

In all, 57 countries were represented and showed their products on 6.1 million square feet of space in 16 exhibition halls.
