Designed for concrete contractors, the training tool was developed by members of the society’s Safety and Risk Management Council and introduced at the ASCC annual conference in September.

The 40-minute DVD covers the basics of concrete construction safety, and is designed for both new Spanish-speaking workers and to be used as a refresher course for established workers.

Topics include alcohol and substance abuse, PPE, pre-task planning, hand and power tools, handling fresh concrete, forming, rebar, pumping and more. The DVD’s user guide also contains sample test questions.
