Interstate 10 in ArizonaArizona Gov. Doug Ducey has submitted a “wish list” of priority transportation projects, valued at more than $500 million, to be considered as part of the Trump administration’s infrastructure improvement plans, according to a report by the Arizona Daily Star.
The request was one of several recently sent to the president in the hopes of tapping into his promise of improving infrastructure throughout the country. President Trump has continuously stated his administration is looking to invest $1 trillion in infrastructure improvements across the nation.
The projects Ducey requested for highway and bridge improvements include:
- $160-$250 million for updates on Interstate 10, with most in the Phoenix area
- $135 million for improvements on State Route 189 between the boarder with Mexico and I-19
- $45 million for widening SR 260 east of Star Valley to four lanes
- $35 million for widening U.S. 93 between Las Vegas and Phoenix to four lanes
- $30 million for repairing bridges on I-15 throughout the northwestern part of the state
