Alternative energy firms doing well

Not everybody is getting hammered by the recession. According to this Wall Street Journal story companies that specialize in alternative energy [1] are growing and attracting lots of capital and venture fund money. Key quote: “investments in clean technology companies totaled $8.4 billion, up 40 percent from last year.”  Biodiesel production soared from 28 million gallons in 2004 to 287 million gallons in in 2006. [2] Long term success, however, will be dependant on favorable policy decisions from Washington DC.
