Alternative energy firms doing well

Not everybody is getting hammered by the recession. According to this Wall Street Journal story companies that specialize in alternative energy are growing and attracting lots of capital and venture fund money. Key quote: “investments in clean technology companies totaled $8.4 billion, up 40 percent from last year.”  Biodiesel production soared from 28 million gallons in 2004 to 287 million gallons in in 2006. Long term success, however, will be dependant on favorable policy decisions from Washington DC.
