Allmand expands Holdrege manufacturing facility

Allmand Bros. plans to expand its manufacturing facility in Holdrege. The approximately $3 million project will add 40,000 square feet to the present building and will feature 17 additional acres of parking and finished goods storage. The company plans to have the facility fully operational before the end of the year.

Company president Matt Allmand expressed his forecast for the company once the facility expansion is complete, stating his hopes for a reduced lead-time from approximately 17 weeks to about four weeks. The expansion will also add employees to the Holdrege manufacturing facility.

Other features of the expanded facility will include an enlarged fabrication area with a higher-speed laser cutting machine and a new press brake to the existing laser, press brake, plasma cutter and other fabrication equipment.

This expansion will allow work currently done by outside metal fabricators to be brought in-house.
