AISC invites students to apply for scholarships, fellowships

The American Institute of Steel Construction invites university juniors, seniors and graduate students in civil and architectural engineering to apply for several scholarships and fellowships offered by AISC. Awards for the 2010-2011 offer more than $75,000 in aid to college students.

The AISC education foundation awards nine $5,000 scholarships and fellowships. The Associated Steelworkers of Chicago offers five $3,000 awards, and both the Southern Association of Steel Fabricators and the Structural Steel Educational Council offer two $2,500 awards. The Great Lakes Fabricators & Erectors Association will award one $5,000 scholarship, and the Rocky Mountain Steel Construction Association will award one $3,000 scholarship.

The application deadline is April 25, 2010. Applications can be found on the AISC website.
