2013 Contractor of the Year finalists named

Equipment World editors have named the 2013 Contractor of the Year finalists, a group of 12 contractors hailing from a diverse cross section of the country.
Each finalist will receive an expense-paid trip to Las Vegas on March 8-11, to participate in an industry roundtable and awards banquet, where the 2013 Contractor of the Year will be named. These contractors will be the special guests of program sponsor Caterpillar at a NASCAR race at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway, plus be featured in the pages of Equipment World magazine.
The 2013 finalists are:
Richard Gordon, Baystate Engineering, Holliston, Massachusetts. Markets: Sitework, demolition, utilities. Annual volume: $5 to $7 million.
Albert, Ellis and Michael Brown, Brown Brothers Construction, Loa, Utah. Markets: Road construction and excavation. Annual volume: $5 to $7 million.
M. Eugene Lowder, Charles D. Lowder Inc., Winston-Salem, North Carolina, www.lowdergrading.com. Markets: Site development, public utilities, stormwater management. Annual volume: $8 to $10 million.
Chris Fink, Dale’s Paving Inc., Bossier City, Louisiana, www.dalespaving.com. Markets: Asphalt and concrete paving, sealcoating, parking lots and driveways. Annual volume: $5 to $7 million.
Daniel Williams, Dan’s Marine Service, Grafton, West Virginia. Markets: Commercial water lines, mine maintenance, gas well locations. Annual volume: $3 to $5 million.
