2006 WINNER – Jeff Jay – G & G Construction, Inc. – Enterprise, MS

Jeff_JayAfter seeing the promotions in Equipment World magazine for the past several years, Jeff Jay of G & G Construction in Enterprise, Miss., decided to try his luck this year and mailed his entry form for the “Contractor’s Dream Package” sweepstakes. He thought nothing more about it until he received a call a few weeks ago telling him that he had been chosen as the winner. Only after receiving confirming information and phone calls from the publisher did Jay’s good fortune actually sink in.

Jay received his prizes on November 2, 2006, during an event hosted by Marshall Ford, of Union, Miss., the local Ford Commercial Truck dealer in Jeff’s hometown area. His prize package included a new Ford F-550 Super Duty truck with optional ZF transmission; a Ditch Witch SK300 mini skid-steer loader; plate compactor, rammer, concrete saw and rapid screed machinery from Ingersoll-Rand; $5,000 credit toward Werk Brau attachments; a Thompson trash pump; Lumax grease guns and lubricants from ConocoPhillips. Jay also received financial support from Lojack, a Baldor generator, Sage Oil Vac’s portable oil change system, and an installed, under-hood VMAC air compressor. This “dream package” is valued at almost $100,000!

G & G Construction has been an Equipment World subscriber for several years and specializes in water/sewer work, excavation, and site prep. Jay is president and co-owner of the business, which owns and operates a fleet of 10 construction machines and trucks. G&G was started more than 20 years ago by Jeff’s father, Gene Jay.

Equipment World magazine is the leading business-to-business publication reporting on equipment and business practices to help America’s contractors run more efficient operations.

The Dream Package program offers Equipment World advertisers a way to promote their products in addition to traditional print advertising. For the past four years, a lucky contractor such as Jeff Jay wins top-of-the line equipment to add to their fleet, and Equipment World accomplishes its goal of serving its readers and advertisers. “It’s great to have a team that puts a program together like this, where everyone walks away smiling,” says Gregg Terry, Equipment World associate publisher.
